Well that was entirely uncalled for. How would you like it if you had a Gold req 7 Crystaline drop for you in HoH only for you to be unable to retrieve it before the timer reset?

Yeah I'd probably be laughing too.

Don't feel too bad you are not the first to miss your greens.

I was in a group that had 1 warrior, a minion master and such and we are at the final bosses and everything is going ok and all the bosses are almost dead. I am monking and suddenly I get Backfire on me and then the 1 other monk decides to use infuse health a few times to heal the Eles...

I heal him once or twice being careful about Backfire but I stop short of killing myself and he dies anyway, then I drop dead, then the minion master, then the bosses...

The warrior is up near the bosses so he grabs his green staff. Then there is the pile of greens which included Victos Sword, Axe and Bulwark for various people. By the time we get ressed there is about 10 seconds left and everyone is trying to runthrough the roadblock of 20 minions blocking the stairs who are going nuts and attacking us since the minion master died.

By the time it takes to realize we need to kill the minions to get by; we are transported back before anyone could pick up the greens and everyone was livid to say the least.

LOL - Well, take all the great drops you got during the extended time it took to get to the end, sell them, and then buy the axe.

Who knows? Maybe Anet will add a new level to tombs, and have it drop "Victo's battle axe reloaded" which is actually a furious variant of the great sickle.

Well i do feel bad for you, but im sure youll have another drop soon enough. At least it wasnt someone being a jerk and taking your item. Because once upon a time, A Brohms (this was a while ago) staff drops and it drops for the Ele, well, seeing that i noticed and it seemed no one else did I kept an eye on it. After a due amount of time it became open for the taking by any and all players, so i decided to scoop it up. After we finished with this lovely mob, i decided it was a good thing to give back the staff, seeing that i already had one and it didnt belong (untill after a few minutes) to me. So i gladly gave it back in a trade and then i see a gray box where the Ele's red health bar used to be.

In other words he disconnected, so, back when money was not as easy to come by and Brohms staffs were just as rare, i had lost a few bucks. I didnt care all that much but i made a decision, If i pick up your shit, your gunna wait till we finish before you get it(sorry, but its insurance).

/signed I agree with this 100% if you completed the mission but are laying dead you should still get your items as per the end of a regular mission.

Anet make this so please (smile)

Worse situation: 3 hours sitting in a group killing your way through Tombs and not a single drop. Of anything. Worst way to waste time when you could be doing other stuff.

Quoted for the damn truth.

It's ridiculous how we can refer to some of these farming expeditions as "runs" too when there are times when PUGs take longer than a freaking [email protected] movie like Quo Vadis. I know that the trade-off is that it's guaranteed that greens will always drop, but too bad for the 2 or more players (out of eight) that don't get squat. heh

Yeah the uneven drop distribution is really driving me nuts.

Nowadays I don't care anymore.. join a party, just pay attention to follow them every now and then until the final level, and start paying attention then. If it so happens that some stupid code in the game allocates multiple items to one person, fine.. no biggie. Not like i put in much commitment anyway.

Default good people

hi this is been an interesting thread...BUT.... as long as there r bad peeps stealing ure drops there r also good people...

for instance last night out in the new UW we get 2 the end

we keep a mob there caus no1 can b bothered killing so we were down to like 6 people with like 2 healer monks so we were ok, warrior and monk got ERROR 7 so we thought this is gonna b tough so the necro runs in as ....TANK.... and she does well but the darknesses nvr fell, but there surrounding mob did, so we all get rezzed but 1 of the monks, so the nerco stands up and tanks,

after a few rounds of this the darkness fall were like gr8 but the mob was close 2 us so we all said

"W8 TILL THE PATROL MOVES THEN GET GREENS"

obviously some in the group cant read and run 2 get there greens me the 2 monks die trying to keep them alive, monk gets rezzed and we move back and the patrol kicks the ghosts ass.

now there were 2 enemies left every1 on 60Dp so a monk says all run get the greens we cant kill them, so all of them do (including me, in my minute of n00bness) monk picks up like all the greens we all die accept him.

i go mentle saying

"F^^ckin knew something like that would happen"

but instead of the monk leaving he rezzes us all and then gives us all the greens that we got dropped one gr8 monk there

see there r nice people on GW, u just gotta find them first xD

I've had a nissue where the Necro's Minions blocked me in form getting Vitco's Maul right when they opened this. Alot of money down the drain, Oh well, I did get Victo's Bulwark and sold it got a pretty penny.

i think having the green items u missed disappear after u zone back to TOPK sucks...i agree with ract that gw should implement the system they use at the end of missions, where theres a window for items you missed at the end of the mission after completing it. thus nothing like this could happen again

just my 2 cents
